It’s almost the end of 2022, and thanks to the technology gods, we’ll soon have some truly fantastic smartphones. We have compiled a list of the top five smartphones on the market today, and each one of them is excellent in some way. Various factors such as camera quality, battery life, design, technical specifications, cost, and more can help you determine which phone is the best option for you.
Even though Samsung and Apple are mentioned, you may find your perfect pocket companion by exploring other Android competitors like OnePlus, Google, Oppo, and Xiaomi. Believe us when we say that each of these mobile devices is a winner in its unique way. In a market with plenty of competitors, consumers always win with better phones.
Google Pixel 7 Pro
Google improves battery life, display, and cameras in Pixel 7 Pro. The Pixel 7 Pro is the best Pixel yet and a “kitchen sink” device that delivers an amazing Android experience.
The Pixel 7 Pro is the best phone for non-iOS users who don’t need the S22 Ultra’s S-Pen. Google’s software processing makes this one of the best point-and-shoot cameras you can carry around.
There are also tonnes of clever Pixel-only features like Magic Eraser to remove unwanted people and objects from photos, Live Transcribe for the hard of hearing, and a big bright display and nearly 2-day battery life to do it all on. If you like customizable, playful phone software, choose the Pixel. The Pixel 7, a smaller phone, is also great but lacks the Pro’s 5x telephoto lens.
Oppo Find X5 Pro
By any standard, the Oppo Find X5 Pro is an outstanding mobile device. Oppo’s 6.7-inch 10-bit 120Hz QHD+ panel is one of the best in a smartphone right now, and the company supports it with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a high-quality camera with 50Mp sensors on the primary and ultrawide lenses.
Even though the telephoto here is only 2x, and you’ll have to do without a periscopic zoom lens, the results from all three rear lenses are superb. The camera module is integrated into the ceramic body of the phone, giving it a one-of-a-kind shape.
The Find X5 Pro, which has all of the aforementioned features as well as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 256GB of storage, and 12GB of RAM, is nearly impossible to beat in terms of raw performance. You must be prepared to spend money on it, though.
iPhone 13
Even though it doesn’t have the 13 Pro’s high refresh rate display, the iPhone 13 still has cutting-edge features like Apple’s newest 5nm A15 Bionic chip and the latest camera features, like Cinematic Mode.
The rear camera system now sits diagonally, mostly to make room for the impressive sensor-shift OIS (optical image stabilization) that was only available on the iPhone 12 Pro Max in 2020 (there’s still no telephoto sensor). On the front, you still get a beautiful 6.1-inch OLED display with a smaller notch, even though the refresh rate is still 60Hz.
As with the Pro, the iPhone 13 has some of the best battery life of any iPhone, but fast charging is still a long way behind.
Vivo X80 Pro
The Vivo X80 Pro’s camera rivals Apple, Samsung, and Google’s best. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip powers four rear lenses, including a powerful 50Mp sensor. The telephoto lens has gimbal stabilization for zoom shots, and all lenses use Vivo’s V1+ image processing chip. It has a huge feature set and great low-light photography. Excellent video modes with cinema-wide aspect ratios and film-like grain make it a pocket powerhouse.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
Samsung fixed the Z Flip 3’s bad battery life and average camera quality for the price, making the Z Flip 4 a phone you can use all day with the same main camera and ultrawide camera as the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus.
It means that this is the best foldable phone you can buy right now, and it costs about the same as flagship phones that don’t fold. Even though there are still questions about how long the screen and crease will last, we can’t test that. However, Samsung says that the Flip will last for at least 200,000 opens and closes, which is about five years of normal use.
The more energy-efficient Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset is likely to blame for the better battery. This means that you no longer have to charge the Flip in the middle of the day. Even though 8GB of RAM is plenty, you might want to spend a little more to get 256GB of storage. We also love that the fingerprint sensor is on the side.
